In the midst of the craziness that is raising a lot of little people, it is easy to buy into the lie that time is literally crawling by at a snail's pace. Occasionally, it's fun to put common pictures together to see how much those little people have changed, grown, and learned. And how incredibly fast it all happened!!!
We absolutely dress up for Halloween and trick or treat. And we absolutely do not worship or celebrate witchcraft or the devil. I can quickly give you 3 reasons why. 1) We love spending time together as a family doing something we only do once a year. 2) We love doing it with friends. (You don't love running through the dark with 6+ kiddos on a sugar high or the high of an anticipated sugar high??!!). Just kidding, Goelz and Redden families, we are so so happy to have this fun tradition with you!!! 3) We love free candy. (Especially Reece cups- you can pass all of those my way!!).
We also absolutely don't judge you if you decide not to do the same. Just know that we are not devil-worshiping hooligans who dye their 7 year olds hair purple just because we trick or treat. Oh wait. Sydney's hair, you ask? Yes, that's awesome purple. But, we are absolutely Jesus loving, difference making, rule following, non-devil worshipping, trick or treating Christians (who maybe say yes to some purple hair so we can say a loud no to those things that matter big!!)
