Pretty as a Princess

Ben and I were adamant that our daughter would never be called a princess.  We made sure to never buy any of the cute girly things that said "princess" and made sure our families were aware of this rule.  Basically the "princesses" I had met were really little divas, and I was sure that my daughter would never act that way!  ...And then we decided, if the crown fits....

After meeting Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty (yes, I know, she's Aurora now!)-- my mind was totally changed!  These real princesses weren't divas at all.  They were beautiful-- but inside and out.  They were so totally adoring of my Sydney... blowing her kisses, complimenting her clothes, so super-duper polite and then I decided that if this was the kind of princess Sydney wanted to have as a role model-- that would be ok!  Good thing, because she was hooked- line an sinker- whether  I approved or not!

One of the last things we did while in the Magic Kingdom was stop in for a meet and greet with the princesses.  It was a pretty long wait-- maybe 45 minutes-- (We didn't know we could use FastPass for this!!), so Sydney and I waited in line while Eli and Daddy caught another parade!  This was definitely one of my favorite parts of our trip!  Sydney was mesmerized, and got to spend 3-5 minutes talking to and loving on each of the princesses!  We didn't schedule a character meal with them, because I really wasn't sure how she would react to any characters, but it will definitely be on our agenda for our next trip!!

"Look at my dress.  Miss Katie made it for me!"
