Sweet Liam

I literally took a blogging hiatus for the first 2 3/4 years of Liam's life, and there are so many sweet and cute things that I don't want to forget about my final baby.

He was literally my kangaroo baby.  I don't know if this is a result of my baby wearing, or if I baby-wore because he wanted to be attached to me at.all.times!  I was a huge fan of the Moby wrap for the first year of his life, and by the time that he turned two, he was so obsessed with me holding him that I bought an Ergo baby to continue to carry him around.  He would wrap his little hands around my neck and pat me.  He often would say "Mommy!  I love you SO much!"  "Mommy, you're my best friend!"  Not only did he want me to lay with him to go to sleep, but he wanted to be so close that our foreheads were touching each other while he fell asleep.  Surprisingly, he did an amazing job at being left at daycare and did not cry, but he would not stay in the church nursery until he was well over 2.5.  Rotten- my last baby- and so stinkin' sweet.

He calls me Mommia.  Melt my heart.  He calls Sydney and Eli "Sissy and Bro-bro" still, and they love it too.  For the whole second year of his life, he referred to himself as "Asher Brooks" when you asked him his name.  Now, he knows it's "Liam Asher Brooks."

He refuses to tell people how old he is.  For the entire year he was 2, when people asked, he would tell you "4".  This year, when you ask, he says "I don't know!"  The crazy kid is smart enough that he can spell his name and tell you my cell phone number, but stubborn enough that he will not tell you how old he is.

For the longest time, every time you said something to him, he would say "What you say?"  Ben was concerned that he couldn't hear.  Until I said "Liam, what did I say?" and he repeated it perfectly.  I think we are establishing the S-T-U-B-B-O-R-N trait here!  :)
