Kid's First Athens Trip-- October 2010

Ben and I were SO ready to go to Athens and hang out with our college BFFs and Ben's college roommates + their spouses/fiances. Sure, they were all going to run a 1/2marathon and we were going to be spectators, but we were still very excited. Until-- my mom/our babysitter decided that her back was out. And she couldn't babysit. So, what else were we to do?? We took them with us! Of course, it totally changed our plans, but we had a really good time.

Sydney was so estatic to be in the "G Dawgs" town. She acually had a complete meltdown when we saw a "G Dawg" statue on the corner and kept walking. I promised her we would definitely see another one!! And we definitely did!! :)

We took the kids to North Campus and let them run around. It was kind of surreal being there as a family of 4. Parents to two babies. Definitely different than last time we were walking around on that campus! That night we went Buffalo's and watched the Georgia game (which was out of town) and hung out with friends! The kids were great until the last quarter, so we went and played at the bookstore next to the restaurant.

Although it was not the weekend we had expected, we had a really good time. Our little girl definitely already loves her Bulldogs!

This was not in Athens, but Eli slept through the above photo-shoot, so I had to include his cute lil self!  :)
